In September of 2024, Israel’s Mossad orchestrated and launched a technological attack on Lebanon by rigging batches of pagers and walkie-talkies being shipped to them with explosives. On September 17, at approximately 3:30 local time, messages were sent to all these pagers which began beeping for several seconds before exploding. The following clip is the best you are going to get from the main-stream media. Notice, how they hedge their analysis to imply some uncertainty about who caused the attack and at the end of the clip the anchor says that it was certainly “humiliating for them.” I have to admit, I’m not sure but I don’t think he is referring to the Israelis.

Approximately 24 hours later, hundreds of walkie-talkies were detonated in a similar way. Some of them exploded during the funerals of victims of the attack the day before. According to CNN 20-30 people were killed and 450-750 were injured overall. Injuries were mainly to hands, faces and torsos. In the initial pager attack, at least 12 people were killed including three children and only two members of Hezbollah. Just imagine an unattended pager beeping and a young child going to grab and look at it.

It goes without saying that given the nature and timing of the attacks, no one can pretend that this was anything other than a premeditated crime and yet…
