The Whole Story

A Critical Thinking 12 project.

If you have ever had to make an important decision, you should have already discovered how beneficial it is to be as informed as possible about the related issues.  If you were lucky, you determined this before you made the decision, otherwise you may have learned the hard way and realized after the fact that getting some more information could have made a big difference in the overall process and result.  This project was designed to give students practice sorting out the details of an important current event or issue using the internet, force them to come to a related conclusion and give them an opportunity to inform others about the issue and their conclusion.

The class was divided into ten groups of three.  Five topics were each examined independently by two groups.  The groups found and posted links to at least 5 different sources of information relating to the topics, evaluated these sources for integrity and reliability and came to a conclusion related to the topic question.  The projects are posted here for viewing and discussion.  Click on a topic of interest to see the results.
